From the Factory to the World

I love this photo of Andy Warhol and various members of The Factory (including a cheeky little scamp on the right), taken by Cecil Beaton in 1969. It will form part of an exhibition at this year's PhotoEspaña festival in Madrid, which opens on June 6.

I've been lucky enough to go to PhotoEspaña for the last few years, and it's an excellent festival, mixing exhibitions of classic photography with shows by contemporary practitioners. There are two Warhol-themed shows appearing in this year's festival and the photos here are all taken from 'From the Factory to the World', an exhibition of images by Richard Avedon, Stephen Shore et al of members of the Warhol community, who continue to hold a fascination for audiences over five decades after they first shot to art fame. There will also be a number of images taken by Warhol himself in the show. Here's a couple more shots that will form part of it:
